Victorian .70 Carat Old Mine Cut Diamond Engagement Ring

Pieces with deep relief engraving are tough to find. The technique requires a substantially thick band, as well as an uncommonly confident hand. The result, however, is incomparable in terms of aesthetic effect--the high points face-up with a sharper definition than low relief pieces, and the depth allows for a marked textural contrast between positive and negative space. Finally, the greater difference in height allows for enamel in the carved "valleys"--let us know if you would like enameling added to the shoulders so we can take care of it for you.
