Pieces like this can be difficult to date. Its style hails from the Edwardian era, as seen in the ornate open filigree, hand engraving, and milgrain. Yet the East-West navette shape, box-edge prongs, and mode of construction are more reflective of Art Deco tendencies. The ring reflects a transition in history rather than a set point, and we adore the ambiguity.
