It doesn't get any more classic than this ring-- its six prong design, two-toned yellow and white gold makeup, and tapered knife-edge shank make for a truly cross-generational aesthetic. Though the ring originally hails from "Mayors," a US jewelry shop founded in 1910, such designs were first introduced by Tiffany and Co. in the late 1800s and were instantly canonical, experiencing peaks in popularity in the 1920s, 1950s, and 1970s, making it difficult to pin down an exact date of manufacture. We can state, however, that the .68 carat late Old European Cut diamond dates to c. 1920s-1930s, adding to the timeless nature of the ring.
