This is a Pebble & Polish original. The piece is newly made, but draws on mid-to-late Victorian eight-prong, low-set Belcher ring structures. It is set with an era-appropriate antique Old European Cut diamond, selected specifically for this mounting. Its slight warmth allows it to harmonize with the antique character of the ring while still reading as white.
The piece has been hand engraved and ornamented with dark blue “hot” enamel. While a small opening has been incorporated to allow for cleaning and drainage, the back of the ring remains fully solid. It has not been hollowed out, as is common in many contemporary Belcher-style mountings.
This is the first piece of its type--a true one-of-a-kind.
