Late-Victorian Bypass/Toi et Moi Ring Featuring a GIA Burmese No Heat Ruby and Old European Cut Diamond

Period: c. late 1800s - early 1900s; late/post Victorian

Materials: the shank is approx. 14K rose gold; the heads (base and basket) are approx. 18K; Such combinations often derived from pragmatic needs, as the 14K of the shank—which endures the most stress—is harder and more structurally secure around the finger, whereas the 18K of the baskets is a bit softer and allows for easier detailing during the final carving/cleaning process

Dimensions: the top measures approx. 17 mm wide north to south; the ring stands 6 mm tall above the finger

Size: 7 (free sizing—contact for more information)

Gemstones: purchase of the ring includes two GIA reports
Diamond: GIA-assessed 1.07 carat Old European Cut diamond with K color and SI2 clarity
Ruby: GIA-assessed 1.59 carat mixed-cut natural Burmese “no-heat” ruby, transparent with purplish-red color
