Late Victorian 18K Half Hoop Diamond Ring with High-Relief Scrollwork

Period: c. late 1800s; late Victorian with a deep, hand-carved scroll pattern; this ring is equally suited for a man or woman

Stamps: “18”; a maker’s mark that seems to start with “A” but is obscured and illegible; a hand-inscribed id number, “23970” 

Materials: 18K gold; diamonds 

Dimensions: 5.50 mm wide across the top, north to south; the piece stands 3.85 mm tall above the finger and tapers as the ring moves out and downwards

Size: 11 1/4 (free sizing where sizing is possible—contact us for details) 

    Primary: three round Rose Cut diamonds; their weights are particularly difficult to determine, but our rough estimate is .50-.60 ctw; the center measures approx. 4.20 mm in diameter, and the sides measure approx. 3.40 mm in diameter
