Grand Late Gilded Age Diamond and Natural Pearl Ring in 18K Gold and Platinum

This is not a delicate Edwardian pearl ring. It is a grand late Gilded Age composition that's architectural in scale and unapologetic in presence. Spanning a full 31 millimeters north to south, it was conceived for rooms lit by flame rather than filament, where jewels did not sparkle but glow. Two Old European cut diamonds arc around a true natural pearl, their broader facets catching and releasing light with a softness particular to the era before electricity. Crafted in richly toned 18K gold and platinum, the ring belongs to interiors of warmth and ceremony, and to evenings when scale was not excess, but expectation.
