Early Victorian (London, 1844) 18K Gold and Black Enamel Ring with an Old Mine Cut Diamond Center

Period: early Victorian, fully marked: London, 1844 with a “W E” hallmark, likely “William Elliot,” who first registered his mark in 1813; possibly “William Eaton,” though less likely; the piece has an additional and rather rare date stamp--also reflecting 1844--on the outside of the shank

Materials: 18K gold; black enamel; diamonds

Dimensions: 8.25mm north-to-south; the piece stands approx. 2mm tall above the finger (3.5mm tall including the center diamond)

    Center: GIA certified .52 carat Old Mine Cut diamond with J color and VS1 clarity
