Period: c. mid-late 1800s Victorian; hand carved; English origin

Marks: a piecemeal stamp of “1986” or possibly "198G" (an old ID/inventory number for the piece); what appear to be two shields side by side, each with a prominent “S” (or possibly serpents) within; British hallmarks of a crown and “18”; the other hallmarks have been obscured by a past sizing

Materials: 18K gold; diamonds

    Center: a .57 carat late Old European Cut / early Transitional cut diamond (GIA assessed as Circular Brilliant; I color; SI2 clarity)
