Period and details: c. 1880s - 1890s late-Victorian era

Materials: approx. 18K gold (red-ish hue compared to bright yellow gold); platinum top

Stamps: two French hallmarks on the exterior of the shank located at the bottom of the finger; the upper stamp is an owl with "75" within its chest; the lower stamp is a facial mask; the stamps are stacked in the same vertical orientation, denoting importation into France from a non-treaty country (which is fascinating in its own right, because most jewelry production in the late 1800s was from nations with which France had some kind of formal trade agreement)

Dimensions: approx. 12mm across the top, north to south; 10mm across the top, east to west; the ring stands approx. 5.75 mm tall above the finger
