c. Late 1920s Post-Edwardian / Art Deco Engagement Ring with Ornate Spade Shoulders

Period: c. early 1920s - early 1930s; Art Deco with some late Edwardian design carryover, especially in the ornate open metalwork and graceful curvature in the spade/shield-shaped shoulders

Materials: platinum; diamonds

Dimensions: the top of the ring measures approx. 10.3 mm north to south; it stands 5.2 mm tall above the finger

Size: currently a hair over 6 1/4 (free sizing—contact us for more info)

Diamonds:
Center: 1.12 carat late Transitional Cut diamond (GIA assessed as Round Brilliant; J color; I1 clarity)—the stone is, in our opinion, a very minimally included and eye-clean I1
Accents: .30 - .35 ctw., est.; twenty-two Old European Cut diamonds with approx. G-H color and SI through I clarity (approx. SI clarity overall); diamonds assessed in their mounting by a GIA GD—weights and grades are approximate and determined as mounting permits
