c. 1900s Navette Ring with a Unique Step-Cut "Moval" Center Diamond

Period: c. 1890s - 1920s; late/post Victorian

Materials: 14K gold (“antique gold” color, which is to say closer to rose than to yellow, but not quite as pink as contemporary rose gold); diamonds

Dimensions: the ring measures approx. 15.50 mm across the top north to south, and stands approx. 4.00 mm tall above the finger

Size: currently a hair below size 6 (free sizing—contact us for more information)

Diamonds:
    Center: .93 carats; a very clean and unique sort of moval step cut; shape-wise, think a combo of marquise and oval, but with a step cut (which is to say, emerald-cut-like) faceting pattern; GIA assessed as Modified Oval Step Cut, L faint brown color; VVS1 clarity
    Accents: .35 ctw., est.; twelve early brilliants, primarily Old European Cuts and Transitional Cuts, with approx. G-H color and SI clarity overall; accent diamonds assessed in their mounting by a GIA GD—weights and grades are approximate and determined as mounting permits
