Period: Late Victorian (c. 1890s); anticipates some Retro/Mid-Century design trends, especially in the rounded “waist” below the stone (Russian designers in particular crafted similar pieces in the c. 1940s); the top is a unique sort of advanced collet setting (collet settings were common in the Georgian era. Prong settings came out in the late-Victorian era. This is a unique bridge between the two.)
Materials: approximate. 14K gold (has a warm and slightly rose color, but isn’t quite as pink as much contemporary rose gold); silver basket and shoulders — note: the silver will take on a patina over time. You can leave it, which would make for an awesome dark gray basket and sort of moody Victorian vibe overall (which is what we'd do), or you can clean it every so often to bring it back to clean silver, as in the photos. Reach out for more info.
Dimensions: the top disc shape measures approximately 10.00 mm in diameter; the ring stands 6.25 mm tall above the finger
