Period and details: c. mid-late 1800s, Victorian; “tie-tack” style basket; unique chasing and hand engraving subtly evocative of Egyptian Revival design motifs, yet with a bit of Etruscan Revival in the heavy milgrain that reads like fine granulation

Inscription: hand inscribed in a sort of Medieval/Gothic script: “Gren”

Materials: 18K gold; diamond

Dimensions: the top measures 6.15 mm wide north to south, just below the diamond at the top of the finger; the piece stands 4.72 mm tall
