Antique Hand-Carved Right-Hand Ring or Unique Engagement Ring with an East-West Oval Cut Diamond

Period: c. late 1800s / early 1900s; late/post Victorian; the top of the ring was hand carved from a single piece of material

Materials: 14K gold; diamonds

Inscription: the inside of the piece is partially hand inscribed, “Ms. M…” in a cursive script

Dimensions: approx. 11.50 mm wide across the top, north to south; the ring stands 2.60 mm tall above the finger

Size: 4 3/4 (free sizing)

Diamonds: 

     Center: an antique .46 carat Oval cut diamond (GIA-assessed Oval Brilliant; I color; I1 clarity)—the stone is utterly “eye clean”

     Accents: fourteen Single Cut diamonds (.15-.20 ctw., est.); approx. near colorless and VS clarity overall
