Edwardian / Art Deco Platinum Old Mine Cut Diamond and Pearl Lariat Necklace

Date: c. 1920s

Design information: our date for this necklace is based on the diamond cut, chandelier-like symmetry (common throughout the Art Deco era), and construction method. The diamonds, however, date to c. 1880s, meaning that this piece could be much older.

Chain: platinum; 15 inches plus a 2-inch safety chain; .65 mm thick (chain is permanently fastened to the bezel holding the pearl)

Pearl: 6.5 mm (not including bezel)

Diamonds: 1.30 ctw (est)
     --On the longer dangle: 5.85 mm x 5.30 mm x 3.37 mm (not including bezel); .75 carat (est) Old Mine Cut diamond; J-K color; SI2 clarity (eye clean; minimal-to-no carbon)
     --On the shorter dangle: 5.32 mm x 5.20 mm x 2.82 mm (not including bezel); .55 carat (est) Old Mine Cut diamond; I-J color; SI2 clarity
