1868 Gold and Black Enamel Three-Stone Ring with Chocolate-Hued Rose Cut Diamonds

Period: c. mid-late 1800s (dated 1868); Victorian

Markings: hand inscribed “Chas. to Kate Feb (blank)/68” in a cursive script (Chas. is shorthand for Charles); stamped “18”

Materials: 18K; black “hot” enamel; diamonds 

Dimensions: 6.90 mm wide across the top north to south; the piece stands 4.20 mm tall above the finger

Size: a hair above 6 1/4 (free sizing; note that sizing may impede upon the inscription— please contact us for sizing info)

Diamonds: all diamonds assessed in their mounting by a GIA GD—weights and grades are approximate
     Center: a .50 - .55 carat (est.) Old Mine Cut diamond with approx. VS2-SI1 clarity and I color
     Accents: .45 ctw., est.; two Round Rose Cut diamonds with approx. Fancy Brown color and SI1 clarity overall
