c. Early 1900s Old European Cut Diamond Cluster Ring with a GIA Natural Pearl

Period: c. early 1900s Edwardian

Materials: 14K gold; platinum prong tips

Dimensions: The top of the ring measures approx 11mm in diameter; the sides of the ring top (measured from the top of the finger to the tops of the diamonds--what's essentially the "halo" depth) stand approx. 3.8 mm above the finger; when measured at the top of the pearl, the ring stands approx. 7.5 mm tall above the finger

Current size: a hair below a 6 (free sizing)

Gemstones:
    Center: a GIA-assessed approx. 6.65 mm natural (read: not cultured) freshwater pearl, Unionidae family, with no indications of treatment; note from Matt (GIA Grad. Pearls): the pearl shows orient (rainbow iridescence)
    Accents: .40 - .50 ctw., est.; twelve Old European Cut diamonds w/approx. H-I color and SI to I clarity (identified within the GIA report as “…numerous near-colorless old European brilliants.”); accent diamonds assessed in their mounting by a GIA GD—weights and grades are approximate and determined as mounting permits.
