Old European Cut Diamond Engagement Ring with Ornate Open Filigree and Engraving

Period: This piece can be dated to around the early 1930s, a time that witnessed the rise of Art Deco design tendencies. Yet this ring's aesthetic borrows heavily from Edwardian principles. In many ways, this piece could be seen as reprepresenting "High Edwardian" output, which we feel was the peak of Edwardian styling. The somewhat fluid, blousy shape to the piece is thoroughly ornamented with lilty filigree and is further adorned with bows, ribbons, and hand-engraved leaves.
