Swedish Gustav Dahlgren Engagement Ring with a GIA .75 Carat Transitional Cut Diamond Center

Origin: this piece comes to us in particularly excellent condition, making for fully-legible stamps. The ring hails from the studio of renown Swedish goldsmith, Gustav Dahlgren, of Gustav Dahlgren & Co. (stamped GD & Co). The piece was manufactured in 1925 (denoted by the “Y7” stamp) in Malmö, Sweden (as denoted by the “M” stamp and Sweden’s triple crowns). 

Period: 1925; post - Victorian (The "post" denotes that the ring is Victorian in aesthetic, created after Victoria's reign but before Victorian design trends had faded from popularity)

Materials: 18K gold (stamped); diamonds

Dimensions: the piece 1.80 mm wide at the shoulders; the basket measures 6.40 mm wide; the piece stands 4.50 mm tall above the finger

Size: 6 3/4 (free sizing)

    Center: GIA certified .75 carat Transitional Cut diamond (classified Circular Brilliant) with H color and SI2 clarity
