Shauna's Secret Stash: c. Early 1900s Belle Époque Two-Tone Ring with a Floating Marquise Cut Diamond and Ruby Surround

This is a rare Shauna’s Secret Stash piece! Only a handful of times each year—sometimes not at all—Shauna parts with a ring she’s been secretly holding back for her own delight (or, let’s call it what it is, obsession). This one has lived in our collection for some years, but it’s time for it to adorn a new, loving hand. Shauna especially loves the ring's playful-yet-sophisticated makeup: a marquise cut set in a floating bezel, framed by ruby accents and seated in a subtly engraved 18K gold and platinum mount.

Period: c. 1900 - late 1910s; Edwardian/Belle Époque with pre-Art Deco design elements

Materials: 18K yellow gold; platinum; diamonds; rubies

Dimensions: the top of the ring measures approx. 17.00 mm north to south; the ring stands 3.00 mm tall above the finger—this is a very low profile piece given its finger coverage

Size: 7 (free sizing—contact us for more information, and be sure to ask about stabilization)

Gemstones:
Center: GIA-assessed 1.09 carat Marquise Cut diamond with K color and SI2 clarity (note: as set, the stone appears eye clean)
Diamond accents: four Rose Cut diamonds (.07 ctw., est.)
Ruby accents: twenty-seven Table Cut rubies, presumed natural — origin, makeup, and treatment status of the rubies cannot be guaranteed without laboratory examination
