Oval Sapphire and Diamond Art Deco Engagement or Dinner Ring with Platinum Scrollwork

Period: c. late 1920s - 1930s, Art Deco with some carryover Edwardian design influence in the organic scrollwork shoulders

Material: platinum

Dimensions: the ring measures approx. 12.75 mm across the top north to south; it stands 4.75 mm tall above the finger

Size: 5 (free sizing where sizing is possible)

Gemstones: (as taken from the accompanying GIA report) Natural No Heat Blue Sapphire with four near colorless round brilliants and six near colorless single cuts. The stone measures approx. 8.55 x 6.65 x 3.98 mm
     To help specify the GIA report: the approximate weight of the center stone is 1.58 carats (calculated by formula). The ring has approx. .55 ctw. diamond accents—four Transitional Cut diamonds w/approx. G color and VS clarity overall, as well as six Single Cut diamonds with approx. G color and VS clarity overall—stones graded in their mounting by a GIA GD—weights and grades are approximate and determined as mounting permits
