Late Victorian Six-Prong Solitaire Engagement Ring with Scrollwork Shoulders

Period and details: late/post-Victorian; c. 1890s to early 1900s; the shoulders are deeply chased with an organic scroll / swirl pattern and unique striations 

Materials: approx. 14K gold with a faint rose hue; diamond

Dimensions: the stone—which is the ring’s widest feature—measures approx. 6.75 mm across at its widest point; the ring stands approx. 4.35 mm tall above the finger

Size: currently between 3.75 and 4 (free sizing where sizing is possible)

Diamond: weighed 1.03 carat late Old European Cut / early Transitional Cut diamond with approx. F color and SI2 clarity--the stone is eye-clean (diamond assessed in its mounting by a GIA GD—grades are approximate and determined as mounting permits)
