Late/Post-Victorian Three-Stone Engagement Ring with an Old Mine Cut Diamond Center

Period: c. late 1800s-early 1900s; late/post-Victorian

Mark: the piece has a unique maker’s mark, but the shape is difficult to discern; maker unknown

Material: approx. 10K - 14K yellow gold; testing inconclusive (which is fairly common with antique alloys), but acid-based assessment suggests that the piece falls within this range

Dimensions: the top of the ring measures approx. 6.0 mm north to south; the ring stands 4.3 mm tall above the finger

     Center: GIA-assessed 1.04 carat Old Mine Cut diamond with W-X color and VVS2 clarity
     Accents: .65 ctw.; two Old European Cut diamonds; approx. very light color and light color; approx. I clarity overall; accent diamonds assessed in their mounting by a GIA GD—grades determined as mounting permits
