Handmade Green Gold Victorian/Roman Revival Engagement Ring with a Round Rose Cut Diamond

Period: this is a new, hand-forged piece whose design is based on a Victorian-era, Ancient Roman Revival ring in Shauna’s personal collection. The shank was crafted from recycled gold that was melted, poured into an ingot, pulled and rolled into wire, and hand-fashioned into its current shape. The basket was created via casting of a hand-carved metal model crafted specifically for this piece. The diamond is an estate stone.

Materials: 18K “green” gold (a sort of bright and clean yellow gold with a faint silvery undertone, as compared to more common 18K yellow gold); diamond

Dimensions: the center measures approx. 7.70 mm in diameter; the ring stands ~3.00 mm tall above the finger—this is a very low-profile piece, especially considering the diameter spread of the diamond.

Size: a slightly tight 5 (free sizing)

Diamond: GIA-assessed 1.00 carat Round Rose Cut diamond with H color and SI1 clarity
