Victorian GIA Certified 1.82 Carat Old Mine Cushion Cut Diamond Engagement Ring with Black Enamel

Date: mid-late 1800s

Design information: Victorian; crafted and engraved entirely by hand; six-prong (claw prongs) setting; tulip engraving motif surrounded by black enamel: in the the "language of flowers" (which, in the Victorian era, was a popular assignment of meaning to types and colors of flowers),  a tulip symbolized a pure and overwhelming love. 

Materials: 15K rose-yellow gold (aka "antique gold"); black enamel; diamond

Diamond: GIA certified 1.82 Old Mine Cushion Cut diamond; O to P range (a beautiful very faint platinum-yellow with lots of rainbows when in motion); VVS1 (the stone is nearly flawless)
