Edwardian 1.20 Carat Old European Cut Diamond Engagement Ring

This ring has one of the more elegantly decorated baskets we've yet seen. The upward-lifting open filigree below the diamond recalls, perhaps, dynamic water splashes, or maybe looped bands of ribbon. The filigree in the shoulders alludes to scrolls and cresting waves. Yet the ring has a linear balance to its organic details: the shoulders, for example, bear two bead-set Old European Cut diamonds that are enveloped by squared walls, lending a touch of order to the otherwise fluid design.
