Belle Époque Antique Rose Cut Diamond Ring with a Neoclassical Laurel Halo

Period: c. late 1800s to early 1900s; Belle Époque with Art Nouveau and Neoclassical design elements in the halo; marked French design influence

Materials: 18K gold on top; 14K gold in the shank for added strength; diamonds

Dimensions: the face is has an approx. 13mm diameter; the ring stands 4.75mm tall above the finger (about 7mm tall including the center diamond). The diamond itself measures 10.00 mm in diameter at its widest point. 

Size: between just over 6 1/2 (free sizing)

    Center: 2.12 carat Rose Cut diamond (GIA assessed as Round Rose Cut with I color and VS2 clarity)--this is a classic antique Rose Cut diamond with a particularly tall dome

    Accents: Two antique Swiss Cut diamonds (.12 ctw., est.)
