c. Early 1900s Engraved Solitaire with a Late Old Mine Cut Diamond

Period: c. early 1900s-1920s (1940s also possible but less likely); shows a marked mid-late Victorian aesthetic influence; the ring has hand-engraved wheat patterning on the shoulders, accented by a dark patina in the recesses (note that the patina is subject to change over time)

Materials: 14K warm-green gold (has a sort of antique-brass look); 14K white gold basket; diamond

Dimensions: the top measures approx. 5.70 mm wide north to south; the ring stands 5.00 mm tall above the finger

Diamond: .40-.45 carat (est) late old mine cut / early old European cut diamond w/approx. H color and SI1 clarity (diamond assessed in its mounting by a GIA GD—weight and grades are approximate and determined as mounting permits)
